The Israeli army began operating in the south of the Gaza Strip. The IDF promises an operation no less powerful than in the north of this region.

This was announced on Sunday, December 3, by IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, The Times of Israel reports.

According to him, the movement of the Israeli army in this direction began on Saturday morning.

“It [the military operation] will be no less powerful than [the operations in northern Gaza], it will have no less results. Hamas commanders will meet the IDF everywhere,” Halle told troops in southern Israel.

During the day, footage appeared on the Internet that showed Israeli tanks in the south of the Gaza Strip, in particular north of the city of Khan Yunis. Hamas also said there were clashes with troops in the area.

“We have the ability to do just as we did with strength and care in northern Gaza. We are doing this now in the south of the Gaza Strip, and we also continue to deepen gains in the north,” added the IDF Chief of Staff.

Let us remind you that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced the return of the military to hostilities in the Gaza Strip after Hamas violated the terms of the truce.
