< p _ngcontent-sc150="" class="news-annotation">Russian troops are moving in the occupied Melitopol, Zaporozhye. Local residents report that over the past few weeks there have been more invaders in the city.
As of today, there are tens of thousands of invaders who are on the territory of the temporarily occupied Melitopol. Ivan Fedorov, mayor of Melitopol, told Channel 24 about this.
The occupiers are building up forces in Melitopol
Last week, residents of Melitopol reported about another batch of mobilized people brought to the occupied city. In addition, the Kadyrovites also arrived. They took control of checkpoints in the city and the entire Melitopol district on the way to Vasilyevka.
Today there is a massive rotation of Russian troops – from one place they move to another. They do this so that it is not clear where they are exactly. It is believed that our residents will not have complete information,โ Fedorov said.
Unfortunately, today the number of Russian invaders in these territories is increasing. Therefore, for now, there is definitely no talk of the flight of the occupiers or the movement of troops from Melitopol.
Ukrainians are not allowed to leave the occupied territories
The mayor of Melitopol said that with the increase in the number of invaders in the region, the pressure on the local population increases. Thus, over the past three weeks it has been almost impossible to leave the occupied settlements.
The main checkpoint in the city of Vasilyevka is not functioning. The Russian invaders promised that from today it would be possible to walk there, but so far this is impossible – the invaders do not let people in and out of the occupied territories.

For medical assistance only to Crimea, but they do not receive treatment
“There are also difficulties in providing medical assistance today, because the Russian military uses all our medical facilities to enhance the stay and treatment of their wounded – collaborators and occupiers on the territory the city of Melitopol,” Fedorov said.
According to him, earlier local residents could go to Zaporozhye for treatment, but now the only way for them is the occupied Crimean peninsula. However, it is very difficult for Ukrainians to get medical care there, since this requires insurance, which can only be issued on a Russian passport.
At the same time, passports issued by the invaders in the occupied territories are not accepted in Crimea. Like, this is the internal passport of the Zaporozhye region.
“Today, our residents were held hostage by the enemy – the terrorist of Russia and terror is intensifying,” the mayor of Melitopol emphasized.
They threaten with deportation if they find the hryvnia
Besides, from January 1, the Russians plan to completely withdraw the Ukrainian hryvnia from circulation. Residents with savings in hryvnias are trying to buy as many long-term storage products as possible, as the occupiers threaten deportation if they find Ukrainian currency.
Russians scare our residents in various ways, and they do it for one reason – even after 10 months our city does not give up, people resist and wait for the return of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, – summed up Fedorov.
