The course of coronavirus in vaccinated and unvaccinated patients differs in the severity of the disease, said immunologist Nikolai Kryuchkov on the air of Sputnik radio station.
– If a person gets sick after vaccination, then he gets sick easily in the overwhelming majority of cases. Although there is still a small probability that a person will get a severe form of the disease, this probability is reduced by 98-99%, the doctor said.
The specialist also noted that vaccinated people have a much shorter period when a patient infected with a coronavirus remains infectious to others. From 14 days, it is reduced in vaccinated to three to four days.
