The developers promise a prequel and adorable merch!
IGN's Summer of Games has announced the expansion of the popular visual novel Doki Doki Literature Club! The story of the girls from the book club, spiced with romance and horror, will now receive the “Plus” prefix.
The new version of the game will include 6 side-quests from the past of the main characters, as well as 13 new songs and more than 100 arts. The developers also decided to pump up the graphics, so that the novel can be read in HD format.
Side quests will tell us in more detail the story of the girls' friendship, and the novel will be playable on PC, Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. The creators of the game also promised to release merch dedicated to the game, for example, full-length cardboard figures.
The game will be released on Steam on June 30 💘 Despite the fact that you may already have a previous version of the novel, the new one will have to be downloaded again.
