The head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Dana White, reacted harshly to Henry Cejudo's desire to resume his career for the title fight. It is reported by MMA Junkie.
The head of the promotion assured that former UFC champion Cejudo must prove that he deserves a chance to fight for the belt. “Cejudo thinks it’s possible to come back and get a title fight right away? This is stupid talk,” he said.
“So I have to close my eyes to all the applicants just because this guy suddenly woke up and decided that he was not finished with the fights?” White is outraged.
Cejudo, in turn, said he was ready to fight for the belt with Australian Alexander Volkanovski. He held the UFC flyweight belt. Volkanovski is the reigning featherweight champion.
