The Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov, together with businessman Roman Abramovich, opened a pilot section of the Velo 1 route in Dmitrov, which runs along the Moscow Canal. The route will become part of the large Moscow-St. Petersburg cycle route.
“137 km of this route will pass through the Moscow region, and its total length will be more than 1,000 km. By the end of the year, 56 km of the route will be equipped, ”the Vorobyov LIVE Telegram channel said.
“We see a huge demand for cycling routes. In literally every city, a bicycle or an electric scooter has already become the norm, ”said Mr. Vorobyov. He also thanked Mr. Abramovich's Millhouse Company for participating in this project.
