The European Union will take into account the OSCE/ODIHR conclusions on the elections in Georgia.

The President of the European Council Charles Michel said that the relevant bodies should investigate violations during the parliamentary elections in Georgia.

Charles Michel wrote about this on his page on the network X.

He stated that he intends to include Georgia's issues on the agenda of the informal European Council.

Michel also said that after the elections in Georgia, the European Union will take into account the findings of the OSCE/ODIHR, therefore he calls on the Central Election Commission and other relevant authorities to fulfill their responsibilities and conduct an investigation into the electoral violations and allegations of them.

“These alleged violations must be seriously investigated and eliminated. We reiterate the EU's call on the Georgian leadership to demonstrate its steadfast commitment to the country's EU accession course, which is also in line with the conclusions made by the European Commission in June and October this year,” he wrote. .

He added that constructive and inclusive dialogue across the political spectrum is now of paramount importance.
