Ukraine receives from London only defensive weapons. This was pointed out by the head of the British Ministry of Defense Ben Wallace, RBC reports.

He clarified that the supplies to Kiev are limited and “do not pose a threat to other countries until they invade Ukraine.” This is how he responded to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, who demanded an explanation of Britain's supply of weapons to Ukraine and the appearance of special forces there.

Earlier, Shoigu said that Ukraine is being stuffed with weapons from all sides, and this is done publicly. “It’s not entirely clear why,” he stressed.

Wallace, following negotiations with Shoigu, also supported the idea of establishing communication channels between the British and Russian military. Following the talks, the British minister noted that his Russian colleague and head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov once again spoke about Moscow's lack of plans to invade Ukraine
