Igor Larionov
The head coach of the Russian youth ice hockey team Igor Larionov explained the defeat against the Czech team in the group stage match of the World Championship (0: 2). His words are quoted by “Sport-Express”.
Larionov considered that an analogy could be drawn with the World Cup match when the Russian team played against Spain (1: 1, the victory of the Russian team on penalties). “The Czechs have tightly built up their defense in the middle zone, they have given up the perimeter. It was difficult to break through five players, ”the specialist noted.
