The head coach of the Russian youth ice hockey team Sergey Zubov commented on the defeat from Sweden. He said that the national team needs to exclude unjustified deletions in the next matches of the World Cup, he was quoted by TASS.

“The guys are worried. For many of them, this is the first tournament at this level, but here emotions take their toll. These deletions should be excluded, and we will definitely convey this to the guys, ”Zubov emphasized.

He noted that the third goal can be considered again, and also stated the need to get ready, reboot and be ready for the next game. “The decision (to replace the goalkeeper) was made, now there is no point in discussing it. Whether it is true or not, we have tomorrow's game, we will analyze everything and make a decision tomorrow, ”the head coach of the national team explained.

Zubov also noted the play of the striker Matvey Michkov, who scored two goals against the Swedes. “Today our second line has distinguished itself, the fourth three had some chances, but we will ask the guys. Today, not only the attackers, but also the defenders had chances for throws, and we are looking for extra passes, ”he concluded.

Earlier it was reported that the youth team lost to the Swedish team in the group stage match of the youth world championship (MFM-2022) with a score of 6: 3 (1: 0, 2: 1, 3: 2).
