In Israel, a criminal group was arrested that trafficked women from Russia and Ukraine. RIA Novosti was informed about this by the representative of the local police Mikhail Zingerman.
It is known that the disclosed group has been working for several years. She was recruiting women from the countries of the former USSR to work as masseuses – this is exactly the kind of advertising that criminals gave on the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet. “When the girls arrived here, they were assigned to discrete apartments where they worked to provide sexual services,” the police said.
It is noted that the gang was led by a 50-year-old woman who is known in the country's sports circles. Another leader of the criminals was her husband. In addition, the group could also be involved in laundering illegally obtained money.
In the summer of 2019, it was reported that five people were arrested in Romania on suspicion of keeping difficult teenagers in slavery. According to prosecutors, children between the ages of 12 and 18 were held in slave conditions on a farm and in other households in the town of Vixeu de Sus in the Maramures region. Minors were subjected to “harsh and cruel methods of so-called re-education”: they were forced to “work hard”, while they were constantly humiliated, beaten, and not allowed to eat.
