The Greek Foreign Ministry says that it seems that the Ukrainian military “contacted the emigrants without good reason.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece stated that the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were guilty of the death of their citizens and the wounding of two more in Donbas.
This is stated on the website of the Foreign Ministry.
“We express our deep sorrow over the sudden death of two expatriates and the serious injury of two others in the village of Granitnaya, located near the collision line in eastern Ukraine,” the statement said.
According to the investigation, the alleged perpetrators of the double murder are three servicemen of the Ukrainian army. The Greek Foreign Ministry says that it seems that the Ukrainian military “contacted the emigrants without good reason.”
On this incident, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will speak by phone with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba to reiterate the need to protect the Greek community in Ukraine.
