The Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov commented on the situation with precipitation in the city during the direct line. The broadcast was carried out on the page of the head of the city in Vkontakte.
“Of course, we need to fight against snowstorms, but we need to understand that with one click all the snow cannot be taken out of such a complex metropolis,” he said, adding that in this case, the collective work of the owners responsible for this issue is needed.
At the same time, Beglov stressed that the governor of St. Petersburg is responsible for organizing the snow removal process. He specified that in three weeks, one million cubic meters of snow was taken out of the city.
The head of the city also recalled that in 2019 he banned dumping snow into rivers and ditches.
Earlier in December, actor Ivan Krasko complained to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the uncleared snow in St. Petersburg, asking him to help solve the problem. The people's artist wrote a letter to the head of state in which he called the situation in the city unbearable for life.
