Now the Ukrainian side is trying to talk with the governors.
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine will discuss unblocking the border, which has been blocked by Polish carriers since the beginning of November, with the new government of Poland.
Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Sergei Derkach announced this during a telethon.
He noted that the Ukrainian side is now trying to talk with the governors, and is also helping our drivers with humanitarian aid, food, and solving the fuel issue.
“Yesterday we sent official requests to the governors from Lublin and the Subcarpathian Voivodeship so that they provide the necessary conditions for our drivers. At least that's true. And we’ll probably talk about unblocking with the new government,” Derkach said.
As you know, after the parliamentary elections in Poland, President Andrzej Duda instructed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to form a new government.
It should be formed by the opposition parties Civic Platform, Third Way and Livica.
They have already agreed to create a coalition and elect Donald Tusk as Prime Minister, but the real change in government power will only happen in mid-December.
Let us remind you that on November 6, Polish carriers began to block the movement of trucks at three checkpoints “Korcheva – Krakovets”, “Grebnoye – Rava-Russkaya” and “Dorogusk – Yagodin”. On November 15, protesters once again refused to accept the proposal after negotiations.
How a strike by Polish carriers could affect the work of many companies in Ukraine, read the material from TSN.ua.
