The government adopted a regulation on the launch by the end of this year of the Unified Information Platform of the National Data Management System. This was reported on the website of the Cabinet.
“By the end of 2021, the Unified Information Platform of the National Data Management System will operate in Russia. Its main task is to improve the quality and availability of state and municipal services for citizens. The regulation on the new system was approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, ”the statement reads.
The platform should combine data from various government databases, systems and registries, including the register of legal entities, real estate, vehicles and a pension fund. It is assumed that such changes will speed up the exchange of information between government agencies, and this will simplify the receipt by citizens of the necessary documents and extracts.
The Cabinet of Ministers explains that the system being put into operation will help control the reliability and relevance of the information contained in the databases. The platform will be operated by the Ministry of Finance.
In June 2019, Dmitry Medvedev, who then headed the government, proposed to create a single database for all departments. According to his idea, it should be a system with different levels of access to information, depending on the needs of a particular state body.
