The girl told her brother’s beloved that he had four children, and ruined the engagement

A Reddit user with the nickname miabee_02 shared a story about how she quarreled her 28-year-old brother with his fiancee. According to the girl, she revealed to the chosen relative the truth about him and as a result ruined their engagement.
The author of the post said that she has an older brother named Jamie. “He used to have a lot of partners, sometimes he could even be in a relationship with several girls at once. I don’t like the way he behaves with the opposite sex, but this is his life, and he can do whatever he wants, so I’ve always turned a blind eye to it,” she said.
As the girl clarified, her relative has four children from different women. “Jamie’s eldest daughter is ten years old, and her mother is the only one to whom he pays alimony,” the girl noted and said that her brother does not keep in touch with the other three children and regrets their birth.
Jamie recently proposed to his beloved Natalie, whom he had been dating for several years before, and she agreed. According to the user, she did not expect that this relationship would last long and end in an engagement, so she was pleasantly surprised.
During a family meeting that took place after the engagement, Natalie admitted that she wants a child from Jamie and sees him as a wonderful father. Her words made the groom’s sister laugh. “I started laughing and told her that he wasn’t a good father to the other four children,” the girl recalled. As it turned out, the bride knew nothing about the groom’s children.
As a result, Jamie got very angry at his sister and yelled at her. Because of the conflict, the girl had to go home. Soon her phone began to break off from her brother’s calls. She realized that he had a big quarrel with the bride. “My brother blames me for what happened. I ruined his engagement. (…) Parents agree with him and even stopped communicating with me,” she wrote.
Most users sided with the narrator and criticized her brother for hiding his children from the bride. In their opinion, the girl did the right thing by telling Natalie the truth.
