The German Ministry of Defense asks the government to allocate an additional 3.8 billion euros for Ukraine

The military has secured the support of the Ministry of Finance on this issue.

Journalists of the publication write that this year Kyiv received 7.1 billion euros in benefits from Berlin. This amount was used to pay for military goods that Ukraine buys from industry. In addition, funds from the budget will be used to finance orders for the production of weapons, which are transferred by the Bundeswehr to Ukraine.

At the same time, Ukraine needs urgent military assistance for effective defense against Russian invaders.

The Ministry of Defense has informed the government of the need to allocate an additional 3.8 billion euros to help Ukraine.

The publication writes that German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has already discussed this issue with Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Unplanned expenses must be approved by the country's parliament in June.

Journalists also report that the military has secured support from the Ministry of Finance on this issue.

Also, according to the publication, for 2025 the Ministry of Defense has pledged a record amount of 15 billion euros in aid to Ukraine.
