Military expert Zhilin said that all situations before major military conflicts are similar

Military expert Alexander Zhilin in an interview with the publication “Ukraine.ru” stated that the geopolitical situation in the world at present is similar to the preparation for the Third World War. According to him, if we compare the pre-war time of each of the major military conflicts, they are all very similar to each other.
“All situations before major military conflicts are similar to each other. The fact is that all world wars were started during the transition period, when the world was moving from one formation to another, when it was necessary to reset old obligations, destroy the old economy and switch to new energy sources. Therefore, nothing fundamentally new is happening today,” the expert said.
He added that he hoped that the coronavirus pandemic would become such a “reset”, in which financial bubbles would be written off, and the parties would be freed from old obligations, but this did not happen. Zhilin is sure that the beginning of a major military conflict should be expected at two possible points — because of the escalation of the situation in the Donbass, or because of the conflict between Israel and Iran.
Earlier, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, said that NATO’s expansion to the east is a “great success story.” According to him, this contributed to the spread of freedom and democracy in Europe.
