Ayatollah Khamenei's top adviser Ali Shamkhani said that even after the US and Israeli strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, “the game is not over yet.”
Iran's Supreme Leader's top adviser Ali Shamkhani said that despite the massive US and Israeli strikes on the country's nuclear infrastructure, Tehran does not consider the incident to be the end of the standoff.
CNN writes about this.
“Even if we allow the complete destruction of (nuclear) facilities, the game is not over yet,” Shamkhani emphasized in a comment to the Iranian Fars news agency.
Iran retains “enriched materials, local knowledge and political will,” he said, so “the surprises will continue.”
Ali Shamkhani has long been an adviser to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and has served as Iran's representative in talks with the United States. His statement comes amid escalation over Iran's nuclear program and Western efforts to prevent further uranium enrichment in the country.
Earlier, US Vice President J.D. Vance said that the goal of airstrikes on Iran's nuclear infrastructure was not to draw the country into a conflict, but to eliminate the threat associated with Tehran's nuclear program.
