After gunshot wounds, the traitor of Ukraine is in a medically induced coma.
Former mayor of Kupyansk Gennady Matsegora, accused of high treason, survived the assassination attempt that was made on him on June 7 in the city of Stary Oskol, Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.
Ukrinform reports this with reference to an unnamed employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
“Matsegora was put into a medically induced coma,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
It was previously reported that the traitor to Ukraine Gennady Matsegora died in the hospital after receiving gunshot wounds.
What is known about Gennady Matsegora
In 2010, Matsegora was first elected as a deputy to the Kupyansky City Council from the Party of Regions.
In 2015, he was elected to the Kharkov Regional Council from the party ” Revival”.
In 2020, Matsegora became the mayor of Kupyansk, winning the elections as a candidate from the now banned OPZZh party.
Before the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he served as mayor and voluntarily surrendered the city to the invaders.
In particular, in June 2022, Matsegor signed the protocol of the meeting on the creation of an occupation administration in the Kharkov region and contributed in every possible way to the Russian army. He invited the command of the Russian armed forces to provide support and material support and added that now kindergartens and schools will return “to normal operation.”
We recall that earlier in the Russian city of Belgorod, as a result of a car explosion, Alexander Slisarenko, a collaborator who was appointed by the occupiers to the post of deputy head of the “administration of the Kharkov region”, was killed.
