Former head of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) Anders Besseberg admitted to receiving intimate services in Russia. This was reported on the organization's website.

Besseberg said that between 2010 and 2014, he used the services of a prostitute during his visit to Moscow, noting that one of the Russian sports officials could pay for her services. In addition, the former head of the world biathlon said that he had repeatedly had an intimate relationship with a woman accredited for the Biathlon World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk. According to him, the woman did not speak English and representatives of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) helped them communicate.
