Trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Germany makes a significant contribution to the energy security of Europe, Deputy Head of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexei Zaitsev said during a briefing. This is reported by the correspondent of ”
“Moscow’s position remains unchanged. We consider [cooperation] as a key element of interaction that makes a significant contribution to ensuring the energy security of Germany and Europe as a whole. Despite the difficult foreign policy situation, our trading partners share this approach,” the diplomat said.
Earlier at a briefing, Zaitsev said that the words of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about the preparation of alliance troops for transfer to eastern Europe create an unfavorable background for the dialogue between Russia and the West on security guarantees.
