NATO must provide a prompt response to Russia's proposals for security guarantees. Moscow is waiting for concrete solutions to the problem. This was stated by the head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna talks on military security and arms control Konstantin Gavrilov on the YouTube channel “Soloviev Live”.
According to Gavrilov, Moscow will under no circumstances allow the deployment of NATO infrastructure in Ukraine and Georgia. “I think yes. Or the answer will be completely different, ”he said.
Gavrilov called on NATO to respond to Russia's security proposals. “We are waiting for concrete, real steps to remove Russian concerns. The time has come, ”the head of the delegation said on the air.
Earlier, a spokesman for the US State Department Ned Price said that Russia's proposals touch on points that worry it, but America has its own reasons for concern. According to him, any dialogue should be based on the principles of reciprocity.
