The Foreign Ministry urged Russians to follow the department's reports on the situation in Ukraine. This was stated by the director of the Department of the Situation and Crisis Center (DSCC) of the Russian Foreign Ministry Yuri Gorlach, his words are quoted by TASS.
Thus, the diplomat answered the question whether the DSCC plans to publish special warnings for Russian citizens who are going to visit Ukraine. “Of course, provocations are not ruled out, especially by autonomous actors in Ukraine,” he stressed.
Gorlach added that the Foreign Ministry always recommends that in such situations, closely monitor what is happening, as was the case with the protests in Kazakhstan in January.
Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the purpose of the West's “hysteria” about Russia's alleged invasion of Ukraine is a provocation. According to her, this provocation fell on the prepared long-term soil of the Ukrainian conflict, which is “actively run by the United States.”
