Forecaster Shuvalov: the warmest New Year's Eve awaits the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus

The head of the forecast center “Meteo” Alexander Shuvalov named the region of Russia with the warmest New Year's night. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, the forecaster said that the warmest and rainy night on New Year's is expected on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus. According to him, in Anapa, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik and Sochi the temperature will be about plus ten degrees.
“The rain, which will start just a few hours before the New Year, but it will be good, strong, sporadic rain. On the night of January 1 and during the first two days, something close to half the monthly norm of precipitation may fall, ”he said.
Shuvalov added that the most comfortable, “truly New Year's weather” is expected in central Russia – in the territory from Yaroslavl to Orel and from Smolensk to Samara, thick snow is expected and minus one – minus six degrees. In Moscow, the temperature will reach minus two – minus four degrees. On the first day of the new year, zero to minus two is expected.
Earlier, Shuvalov said that the most severe New Year's Eve is expected in Yakutia. In Yakutsk itself, the temperature will reach minus 48 degrees, in some cities of the region – minus 50.
