The first vaccination post office opened in St. Petersburg

SAINT PETERSBURG, October 19. / TASS /. Russian Post JSC has placed the first vaccination point in the north of St. Petersburg, located right in the post office. In the future, the company is working on expanding the network of such vaccination points, the press service of the North-West macroregion of the Russian Post told TASS.

“At the suggestion of the vaccination center of St. Petersburg, we provided an area for the vaccination station in the post office at the address: Kultury prospect, 12. For now, this is a trial format of interaction. We are discussing and working on the possible opening of other similar points together with the vaccination center,” service.

As the agency was told in the city's vaccination center, at the moment it is the first vaccination station in Russia located on the territory of the post office.

Earlier, the authorities of St. Petersburg decided to tighten restrictive measures due to the situation with the coronavirus. From November 1, the city will launch a QR-code system, which will be introduced in three stages.

According to the latest data, in St. Petersburg, a total of 669,965 cases of coronavirus infection were detected, according to this indicator, it ranks second among the regions of Russia after Moscow. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 611,146 people have recovered, 23,032 have died. Over the past day, 3,220 cases of infection have been identified in the city.
