MOSCOW, August 23. / TASS /. Nine technology transfer centers (TTC) will be created on the basis of Russian scientific organizations and universities in 2021. In total, it is planned to create at least 35 technology transfer centers by 2024, the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation said on Monday.
“The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia has completed accepting applications for the provision of grants in 2021 for the creation and development of TTC, which commercialize the results of intellectual activity of scientific organizations and universities. This year, based on the selection results, it is planned to determine nine basic organizations that will receive financial support,” the statement said. …
According to the ministry, 49 organizations apply for grants. Participants in the competition, whose applications will receive the maximum score based on the results of the assessment, will receive subsidies of up to 35 million rubles to fund the centers in 2021. The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia intends to publish the results of consideration of applications by October 18. At the same time, at least 35 TTCs will be able to receive grants until 2024.
“The creation of a network of such centers will make it possible to form a technology transfer system that provides assistance in the commercialization of the results of intellectual activity of at least 200,400 universities and research organizations. The total amount of state support for TTC within the framework of the national project will exceed 3 billion rubles,” the Ministry of Education and Science added.
Technology transfer centers are a structural unit that commercializes the results of intellectual activity, and also participates in the planning of research, development and technological work of the organization.
