The head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that the first module of the new Russian space station will be ready for launch in 2025. It will be the Science and Power Module intended for the International Space Station (ISS).
– The first base module for the new Russian space service station is already in operation. The Rocket and Space Corporation Energia has been tasked in 2025 to ensure its readiness for launch into the target orbit, Rogozin wrote in his Telegram channel.
A video was attached to the post showing the work in Energia on the creation of the Scientific and Energy Module. Its launch was scheduled for 2024.
Earlier, Dmitry Rogozin said that the state corporation plans to provide space communications and broadband Internet access throughout the country in three years. He said that broadband Internet access is of great interest to Russia.
