The first in the country. The St. Petersburg Museum of Islamic Culture is preparing to enter the global online platform. His collections will be presented on the Museum Without Borders platform. The international project brings together the cultural heritage of 30 countries. Everyone can visit the exposition from anywhere in the world, the MIR 24 TV channel reports.
Director of the St. Petersburg Museum of Islamic Culture Yefim Rezvan said that
at the exposition in the Museum without Borders, objects can be twisted, as in the social network Instagram, and even brought closer using a touchscreen.
“Visitors will be able to see those exhibits that are sometimes overlooked when visiting a museum,” Rezvan emphasized.
Petersburg online will surprise you with a collection of seals from the north of India: such rings were used to mark Muslim manuscripts. They will also digitize prints for dyeing fabrics and decorations from Yemen. Intangible heritage will also appear – chants. Records in the Berlin Museum of Anthropology were discovered by employees of the national Kazakh branch of the MIR TV and radio company.
