Soldiers of the 18th Airborne Corps from the United States were transferred to the German city of Wiesbaden.

In Wiesbaden, Germany, on Friday, February 4, the first group of the American military arrived to strengthen NATO allies in Eastern Europe.

This was reported by the European Command of the US Armed Forces, publishing the corresponding pictures.

“These are the first of 2,000 soldiers who arrived in Europe after the Pentagon announced the transfer of additional forces from the United States to Europe to support our NATO allies,” the report says.

The US Armed Forces note that soldiers of the 18th Airborne Corps have been transferred to the German city of Wiesbaden, who will create a headquarters in Germany to support 1,700 paratroopers intended for transfer to Poland.

As previously reported, soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division from the United States arrived in Poland. Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak recalled that in general, 1,700 US military personnel are expected to arrive in the country. The contingent should strengthen the eastern borders of NATO against the background of the Russian threat.

This was preceded by the fact that the President of the United States Joe Biden officially approved the additional deployment of American troops in Eastern Europe. We are talking about 3,000 troops that will be transferred to Romania and Poland.
