The first group of Ukrainian citizens was allowed to evacuate from Gaza.
The first group of Ukrainian citizens is to be evacuated from the Gaza Strip on November 7 – we are talking about 101 people.
This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevgeny Korniychuk, writes Ukrinform.
“The first group of our citizens received permission to evacuate from Gaza – 101 people, and the 367 that we invited were agreed to be evacuated through Israel. The rest are promised to be released on Wednesday. Also, at our request, 51 Moldovan citizens are being released,” Korneichuk said.
The ambassador also clarified that employees of the Ukrainian Embassy are already waiting on the border with Egypt and Gaza.
“Everything is coordinated normally so far. I hope that we will finish withdrawing everyone on Thursday,” he concluded.
Let us remind you that the evacuation of foreign citizens has begun from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint between Gaza and Egypt. Then Ukraine began the preparatory stage of evacuating Ukrainians from the enclave.
