Former US ambassadors to Russia are calling on US President Joe Biden for anti-Russian sanctions to thwart security talks. A member of the Federation Council Alexey Pushkov wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“This is their main purpose. Threats of so-called “hellish sanctions” instead of providing guarantees to Russia is a sure way to disrupt negotiations, “the senator added.
Thus, he responded to the call of 24 American experts on Russia and former US ambassadors to Biden to publish a list of measures that the White House intends to take in the event of a Moscow attack on Ukraine. According to diplomats, the plan of sanctions must be brought to the attention of the Russian Federation now, “so that the Kremlin has a clear idea of the scale of the economic blow that it will face.”
