Joe Biden
Officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have denied Russia's involvement in the publication of the scandalous correspondence of US presidential candidate Joe Biden. Fox News reports.
According to the sources of the TV channel, the laptop, on the hard drive of which the letters of Biden's son Hunter are stored, was handed over to the FBI.
Bureau experts agreed with the opinion of the director of US National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, who stated that the emails were not part of the Russian disinformation campaign. This is a correspondence, part of which was published by the New York Post last week.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump denied Russia's connection with the story with Biden's son Hunter.
More than 50 former senior US intelligence and military officials have accused Russia of campaigning against Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. They wrote in a letter published by Politico that the publication in the media of the correspondence of the Democrat's son Hunter Biden is connected with the Russian operation.
Earlier in October, the New York Post reported that new evidence emerged in the case of oil and gas company Burisma, with which Joe Biden and his son Hunter are involved in Ukraine. At the disposal of the publication was the previously unpublished correspondence between Biden Jr. and Ukrainian businessman Vadim Pozharsky, who served as an advisor to the board of directors and director of international development for Burisma Group. In one of the letters, dated April 17, 2015, Pozharsky thanks Hunter Biden for arranging for him to meet with his father in Washington.
In another message, sent in May 2014, Pozharsky asks Biden Jr. to think about how he can use his influence for the good of the company.
