Dutch citizen Evert van Seitveld, who lost two children in the crash of a Malaysian Boeing 777 over Donbas, pointed to the magic of the number seven in the plane situation. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“I would like to explain what the number 7. This number symbolizes completeness,” said the father of the victims. He noted that the seven was in the name of the flight – MH17, which was operated by the airline for 17 years and crashed on July 17, 2014. The Dutchman drew attention to the fact that as a result of the disaster 17 countries were affected, and in the Boeing 777 model the “fatal” number was repeated three times.
Zaytveld spoke of his belief that the flight was deliberately shot down to change the course of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. In his opinion, the perpetrators of the tragedy specifically chose MH17, associated with the Netherlands and Malaysia. “Both countries are too small for geopolitical games. If a civilian plane of one of the leading powers had been shot down, I suppose the answer would have been different, ”concluded the Dutchman.
On September 9, hearings on the crash of the Malaysian Boeing resumed. It was reported that the Dutchmen Robb and Selena Fredricks brought the urn with the ashes of their son, who died in the plane crash of flight MH17, to the court hearing. The victim's mother brought a small piece of burnt cloth – a piece of a blouse, in which was her son's girlfriend, who also died in the crash.
A Boeing 777 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014. There were 298 people on board, all of whom died. Investigators believe that Russian citizens Igor Girkin (Strelkov), Oleg Pulatov, Sergey Dubinsky and Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko were involved in the plane crash. They are suspected of facilitating the movement of the Buk air defense missile system, from which, according to the court, the liner was shot down. Moscow denies any involvement in the plane crash.
