The Empire State Building lit up in blue and yellow.

On Friday, November 25, the top of the most famous American skyscraper Empire State Building in New York was illuminated in the colors of the national flag of Ukraine. It is symbolic that it was on this day that the United States applied sanctions against Russian President Putin due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The response photo on his Facebook page was published by journalist Matvey Ganapolsky.

The skyscraper's floodlighting system has been used to signal important events in the US and around the world since the 1960s.

This time, the reason for the Ukrainian flowers on the tower was both the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the United States due to the Russian invasion of our state, and the macro-financial security assistance promised by President Biden to Ukraine for security needs.

The comments are reminiscent of the “Ukrainian” illumination, which was previously received by other famous buildings in the world, in particular, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the CN Tower in Toronto.
