The National Guard will bear all the costs of the funeral of the five victims of the shooting at Yuzhmash in the Dnieper, and will also pay their families UAH 1.8 million in compensation.
This was announced at a briefing by the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Mykola Balan, who resigned after the tragedy in the Dnieper.
– The National Guard takes full responsibility for the burial and compensation will be paid to the families of the victims who had children, if not, then to the parents. It is about 1 million 800 UAH–” he said.
In addition, today the five wounded who are now in the hospital will be transferred financial assistance. Balan did not specify the size.
As a result of the shooting on the territory of the Southern Machine-Building Plant (Yuzhmash) in Dnipro on January 27, which was arranged by a 20-year-old National Guard soldier Artemiy Ryabchuk, the checkpoint controller and four soldiers were killed. Five more people were hospitalized.
Ryabchuk was detained six hours later in the Suburban Dnipropetrovsk region.
He has already been informed of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. We are talking about premeditated murder, desertion and theft of weapons by a serviceman.
