Opposition forces announced the seizure of power and the capital.
In Syria, opposition forces announced that they now control power in the republic. Nothing is yet known about the fate of President Bashar al-Assad, who led the country since 2000 and whose policies led to the civil war. There is also no information yet about who will now govern Syria during this difficult time.
The TSN.ua website is conducting a live text broadcast covering the events in Syria, whose authorities in 2023 recognized Russia's occupation of 5 regions of Ukraine.

Kurdish forces hold the northern and eastern regions, and the so-called Turkish security belt operates on the northern border with Turkey. Only in the center of the republic can one see small territories under the control of the “Islamic State” terrorists.
