If the flash drive had important data that disappeared somewhere, and you really need this information, you can restore it yourself. Yevgeny Kashkin, associate professor of the Department of Intelligent Information Security Systems, RTU MIREA, told the Prime Agency.
When the drive is not visible after connecting to a computer, or the information on the flash drive is not fully displayed, do not try to delete or copy something. In this case, the device may not be recoverable.
The operability of the flash drive can be checked by connecting it to another PC. If the situation does not change, the problem is in the media itself. You can revive the USB flash drive with the help of special applications. This will allow data to be transferred to another device. The drive can then be formatted and scanned for malware. At the same time, serious repair of the flash drive must be entrusted to a professional.
