The smartphone can turn off during a call for several reasons. In any case, if the battery is completely disconnected, you must restart the device. Denis Kuskov, director of the information and analytical agency Telecom daily, told the Prime agency about this.
The problem could be caused by a malfunctioning battery or software, he listed.
So, the battery of a smartphone starts to work and charge worse after a certain period of time, as a rule, after a year or earlier, depending on the use. As a result, in the cold, the battery can be completely discharged during a conversation at 15 and even at 50 percent, the expert explained.
Another reason the phone may turn off is when installing software that has some bugs. If the connection is interrupted during a call, this may be a sign that control of the phone is transferred from one base station to another. “Often this problem arises at the border of two regions, which are controlled by different technical services of different regions and operators,” said Kuskov.
If the phone does not turn off, but at the same time a grinding sound is heard during a conversation, to restore the connection, you should call the interlocutor back. This feature can be observed with mechanical damage. For example, after the phone is dropped, contacts that “do not make themselves felt at first” may come off.
Earlier, the expert of the NAFI “Digital Citizen” platform, Vladimir Gritsenko, named the optimal frequency of smartphone reboots. According to him, a reboot is not required for modern smartphones if the user is satisfied with how the device works. It is worth rebooting the gadget if a malfunction of the operating system or applications appears. It can also help if Wi-Fi does not work well, tethering does not work, battery power is quickly depleted, or some applications do not start.
