The expert explained where the scammers get data about the Russians from

Telephone scammers receive data about users through call centers and operators' computers, said information security specialist Grigory Pashchenko.

The expert noted that scammers need information about an order in an online store or a customer's phone number in order to try to steal personal data or card data.

– When we order something in a real online store, scammers can still find out about the order. After that, they contact the victim and introduce themselves as employees of the trading network, and then fraudulent actions begin. This is due to the fact that someone leaked you. This could have been done by operators from the store's call center, – explained Grigory Pashchenko in an interview with Sputnik radio.
