The expert explained the demand for push-button telephones
Despite the popularity of smartphones, push-button phones have still not left the market and are occupying their niche in sales. The people who buy them do so for security reasons, the Prime agency reports.
Director General of ANO Digital Platforms Arseny Shcheltsin explained that smart phones require more and more rights to personal information. For example, to carry out two-factor authorization in social networks and accounts of banks and government services, they got access to SMS. The expert noted that the smarter the gadget, the easier it is to hack it and steal the owner's data.
Those who prefer push-button phones, depriving themselves of many functions, increase the security of their personal information. Having got hold of such a device or access to it, an attacker will not be able to find out your location, steal photos, and conversations will not be tapped for the purpose of targeting advertising.
The specialist added that in order to increase safety, you can opt for an inexpensive, convenient device with a capacious battery, on which you can install working instant messengers. It will be safer not to use social networks and the Internet with it at all, but use it only for calls and short messages.
We will remind, earlier the expert listed the signs of the use of personal data of the owner of the smartphone by third-party companies. And another specialist told what to do after the phone was lost or stolen.
