The ex-governor admitted to applause that the Russian army had looted in Kursk region

The first complaints about looting came two months ago.

Former Kursk Region Governor Roman Starovoit (currently holds the post of Russian Minister of Transport) admitted that Russian military personnel robbed houses in the villages of the Glushkovsky District abandoned by local residents due to the fighting in region.

The publication “Meduza” writes about this.

“About looting. Yesterday it was discussed at a meeting with law enforcement agencies. There are facts of looting both among civilians and military personnel,” Starovoit said at a meeting with residents of the Glushkovsky district.

After these words of Starovoit, the audience began to applaud.

The official noted that law enforcement agencies have already been tasked with strengthening security in populated areas.

“There are facts that the loot is being sent deep into Russia,” he added Starovoit.

Let us recall that in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, part of which is controlled by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, looting by Russian servicemen continues. In particular, residents of the village of Korenevo claim that soldiers are stealing from houses, stores, gas stations and other objects in the village, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces have not been present for a single day.

Many victims do not report that they were attacked by looters because they are afraid of their own soldiers and the authorities.
