Zakharova called the evacuation of the US embassies from Ukraine and Belarus a propaganda step

Washington’s statements about the evacuation of the US embassies from Ukraine and Belarus are a propaganda step by the American side. This statement was made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova at a press briefing. The broadcast of her speech is available on the YouTube channel “Russia 24”.
Zakharova stressed that such statements by the United States represent stuffing and misinformation related to the escalation of tension around the situation in Ukraine. The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry recalled that the information campaign on the topic of evacuation of embassies began with the stuffing about the evacuation of the Russian diplomatic mission.
“Whether or not they [the United States] will evacuate [American embassies from the territories of Ukraine and Belarus], how they will do it — let them comment on it themselves. Fact or not fact… Again, the State Department has confused something, and whether they will refute themselves (…), I do not know,” Zakharova added.
On January 25, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry listed the countries that had notified about the desire to evacuate family members of their diplomats and some embassy employees from the territory of the republic. As of the evening of January 24, the United States, Great Britain, Australia and Germany announced plans to evacuate or allow employees of diplomatic missions to voluntarily leave the country.
