The ministers of the European Union countries will discuss the ban on issuing Schengen visas to Russians, probably at the end of this month.
This could happen at a meeting in Prague scheduled for the end of August.
This was reported by Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Jozwiak on Twitter.
< p>However, the journalist believes that the EU countries will probably not be able to reach an agreement.
“At the moment, it is unlikely that the EU as a whole will jointly agree to stop issuing tourist visas to Russians, but, as is the case with many EU sanctions against Russia this year, everything is possible,” added Yozvyak.
Recall that Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba supported President Volodymyr Zelensky's call to ban the West from issuing visas to Russians . He called on all EU and G7 countries to stop issuing visas to citizens of the Russian Federation until they “learn to respect international borders.”
