Ursula von der Leyen announced the strengthening of humanitarian aid to Ukrainians in anticipation of the cold weather.
Due to Russia's relentless attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, the European Commission will allocate 40 million euros to Kyiv to repair facilities before winter.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reported this online on September 6.
The head of the EC announced the strengthening of humanitarian aid to Ukrainians on the eve of the cold weather.
“Russia is relentlessly attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Temperatures will soon drop, so we are strengthening our humanitarian aid to Ukrainians in need. With a new package of 40 million euros for repairs, electricity, heating and housing,” von der Leyen said in a statement.
