Postcoid syndrome may appear six months after the patient has undergone the acute phase of infection. This was warned by Antonina Ploskireva, deputy director for clinical work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor.
In asymptomatic patients, the symptoms of postcoid syndrome may show up after a month, the expert added.
“The syndrome develops from three to 24 weeks after the acute phase or discharge from the hospital. The most common symptoms of postcoid syndrome are noted after four weeks,” Ploskirevoy's commentary leads RIA Novosti.
Symptoms of PTSD include shortness of breath and heaviness in the chest, headache, loss of smell, memory difficulties, and pressure and temperature surges.
