Russian troops continue shelling peaceful settlements and civilian facilities in Ukraine with weapons prohibited by international treaties. Thus, the enemy bombed the city of Avdiivka (Donetsk region) from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) Tornado-S.
This was announced by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova.

Thus, Denisova confirmed the previously published information that yesterday in the city of Kramatorsk (Donetsk region) another case of the use of phosphorus munitions by the enemy was recorded. They can cause severe injury, bone and marrow damage, chemical burns, and slow and painful death.
– Hundreds of Iskander and Kalibr missiles have already been fired by the enemy at peaceful cities throughout Ukraine – in Kiev, Vinnitsa, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv and many other regions and the city of Mariupol, including those with cluster warheads for the maximum area of destruction, – added Denisova.
She recalled that the use of such weapons against civilians violates all the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and is a crime against humanity.
In connection with the war crimes of the Russian Federation, Denisova called on the international community to apply new sanctions against it.
As reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavel Kirilenko, the day before, on March 21, Russian troops launched a strike from aviation and artillery on Avdiivka and the outskirts of the city. The shelling killed five people and injured 20 more.
