Natalya Pshenichnaya, Deputy Director for Clinical and Analytical Work, Central Research Institute of Epidemiology, Rospotrebnadzor, revealed the effect of hypothermia on immunity to COVID-19. RIA Novosti reports.
“Hypothermia weakens immunity to infectious diseases, which is especially dangerous in the cold season,” said the specialist, stressing that it is necessary to observe all preventive measures recommended by Rospotrebnadzor, mask regimen, hand hygiene, social distance and not to overcool.
Natalya Pshenichnaya noted that the coronavirus infection is new, so it is difficult to make any predictions about the growth and decline of the incidence.
Earlier in the Ministry of Health, the Russians were told the correct way to wear a protective mask; it must be worn according to the instructions, regardless of its color. Personal protective equipment should also be constantly changed and discarded after use. The reusable mask should be washed regularly before reuse.
