An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 occurred off the coast of Alaska. This was reported on the website of the Alaska Earthquake Center.

The center of the tremors was located approximately 107 kilometers from the city of Sand Point. Also, the natural phenomenon was felt in Chignik, Unalashka, Manokotak, South Naknek and on the Kenai Peninsula. No casualties or injuries were reported.

According to the US Geological Survey, there is a risk of a tsunami formation, Interfax reports.

A powerful earthquake in Alaska happened in 2018. Its magnitude was 7.0. The epicenter of the tremors was located 13 kilometers from the largest city in the state of Anchorage at a depth of about 40 kilometers. As a result of the natural disaster, houses and roads were damaged, and some areas were left without electricity.
