The footage posted on Boeing's official twitter account shows the MQ-25 T1 drone successfully pulling a hose and brake pipe from its refueling tank and safely ferrying jet fuel to the F / A-18 Super Hornet.
“This historic event is a credit to our joint Boeing / Navy team doing everything possible to provide the fleet with critical MQ-25 refueling capabilities as soon as possible,” said Lynn Caret, President and CEO of Boeing Defense.
